Tips How to Rooting Motorola Moto E

If you already have a Moto E, the next step you need to consider is rooting. But before rooting, make sure you have backups of all data on the phone.

1. Unlock bootlaoder

2. Download the following files:

- ADB/Fastboot for Windows
- ADB/Fastboot for Mac
- TWRP recovery for Moto E
- SuperSu ZIP file

Furthermore, please extract the ADB and fastboot files existing in the folder "motto" of the desktop. Also, transfer SuperSu ZIP file to the internal storage to Moto E. Lastly, transfer files TWRP image is in the foler and Renam motto became "motoe.img"

3. Flashing custom recovery
Before you managed to get root access, you need to install a custom recovery on Moto E. To do so, boot Moto E in bootloader mode by means shut it down first, then press the Volume down + Power simultaneously.

4. On a PC, open a command prompt or terminal and navigate to the folder that you have created a motto in step # 2. You can use the comman "cd foldername" to get it.

5. Motto E Connect to PC and enter the following command: fastboot devices
If you are using a Mac, make sure to include a / before the command. If all the drivers installed correctly then the Moto E will be able to detect and fastboot will return the serial ID of your phone.

6. Now its time you flash TWRP recovery on the handset by using the following command: fastboot flash recovery motoe.img

When the recovery has been ter-flash image successfully, reboot the motto E using the manual method or using the command fastboot reboot.

Rooting Moto E
After successfully booting into Android handset, you need to reboot into Recovery Mode. Turn off the handset first and then simultaneously press the Volume down and Power button for a few seconds.

Upon entry into TWRP recovery, tap and select Install ZIP file SUperSU that you transferred in step # 1. The installation process takes a few seconds, after you boot into Android by way of a tap on the option "Reboot System."
