Reset the SMC on Mac notebook computers
First determine whether the battery is removable. Mac notebook computers that have a nonremovable battery include MacBook Pro (Early 2009) and later, all models of MacBook Air, MacBook (Late 2009), and MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015). Learn more about Mac notebook batteries.

- Shut down the Mac.
- Plug in the MagSafe or USB-C power adapter to a power source and to your Mac.
- Using the built-in keyboard, press Shift-Control-Option on the left side of the keyboard, then press the power button at the same time.

- Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
- Press the power button to turn on the Mac.
- The LED on MagSafe power adapters might change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
Reset the SMC on Mac desktop computers
Follow these steps for iMac, Mac mini, Mac Pro, and Xserve.- Shut down the Mac.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Wait 15 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in.
- Wait 5 seconds, then press the power button to turn on the Mac.
- For Intel-based Xserve computers that arent responding, you can shut down locally or by using remote commands. You can also shut down by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds.
Note:- Resetting the SMC does not reset or otherwise change the contents of NVRAM or PRAM on Intel-based Macs.
The SMC is responsible for these and other low-level functions on Intel-based Macs:
- Responding to presses of the power button
- Responding to the display lid opening and closing on portable Macs
- Battery management
- Thermal management
- The SMS (Sudden Motion Sensor)
- Ambient light sensing
- Keyboard backlighting
- Status indicator light (SIL) management
- Battery status indicator lights
- Selecting an external (instead of internal) video source for some iMac displays
If the resetting does not fix the issue , you might need to update SMC.
Apple released a SMC Update Version 2.0 for all models of the mid-2013 MacBook Air. The update fixes battery problems that may cause the ultralight laptop?s battery to drain faster when the lid is closed.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has put the onus on Apple Inc. to break into the iPhone 5c carried by San Bernardino terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook. In fact, the feds almost certainly could do it themselves.
Security experts say there are many ways the FBI could hack the iPhone now at the center of a standoff between Apple and the U.S. government. They argue that doing so would be faster than waiting for the courts to decide whether Apple should be forced to create software that would let investigators try multiple passcodes without erasing the device. No one is saying a government hack would be easy, but the experts interviewed for this story have concluded the Feds aren?t even trying because they?d rather win a legal precedent that gives agents the power to access phone data with a warrant.
Jonathan Zdziarski, a cybersecurity researcher who consults with law enforcement, says the FBI could learn something from back-alley techies in China who break into iPhones all the time. He describes a kiosk in a Shenzhen mall that charges $60 to upgrade a 16-gigabyte phone to 128 gigabytes. Using a PC, tweezers and screwdrivers, he says, the kiosk operator copies the contents of the iPhone onto a chip with more capacity then swaps it in.
Zdziarski says the FBI could use a similar workaround: copy the phone?s contents onto a chip so there?s a backup file when password attempts erase the device. The trick is figuring out a way of doing this hundreds of times without destroying the chip. He says the problem could be solved with research and that typically investigators can crack a passcode with fewer that 200 attempts because people usually choose easy ones.
That?s just one of multiple ways the FBI could extract data by messing with iPhone hardware, Zdziarski says. Other potential solutions include finding and exploiting cracks in the software. All systems contain flaws and they continue to be found every month in Apple?s software, according to Jason Syversen, a former manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and now chief executive officer of cyber security firm Siege Technologies. In fact, Apple publicly lists the security vulnerabilities that researchers have found. There?s no shortage of cyber experts within the FBI, contractors that work on-site, or third parties and academic organizations that law enforcement could enlist to try and use those cracks to extract the data, Syversen says.
Some experts have argued that the FBI should ask the National Security Agency for help. They note that the NSA is the best-funded spy agency on Earth, employs legions of hackers and almost certainly can break into secure computer systems. But in testimony before Congress on Tuesday, Worcester Polytechnic Institute cybersecurity professor Susan Landau said the NSA may be reluctant to help the FBI, since the secretive agency?s hacking abilities could become public should it be hauled into court.
In written testimony for the congressional hearing, Landau said the FBI needs to build its own investigative center employing agents with deep technical understanding so surveillance can keep up with advances at Apple and other tech companies. The cost to maintain this would be in the hundreds of millions, but a worthy investment and probably the only long-term solution, she wrote.
?The FBI must learn to investigate smarter; you, Congress, can provide it with the resources and guidance to help it do so,? Landau wrote in her testimony. ?Bring FBI investigative capabilities into the twenty-first century.?
In the meantime, the FBI will continue to use the courts to force Apple to build back doors into its devices -- which Apple says would risk exposing customers? private information to hackers and authoritarian regimes. FBI Director James Comey said at the congressional hearing that ?we have engaged all parts of the U.S. government to see, does anybody have a way, short of asking Apple, to do it, with a 5C running iOS9, and we do not.?
Jay Edelson, a class-action lawyer at Edelson PC that specializes in suing technology companies (going after tech giants including Apple and Google), is on Silicon Valley?s side this time. He says the FBI chose this case to score political points -- not because hacking iPhones is too hard.
?The government?s take is even if we have experts in the government, we don?t have an obligation to enlist their help,? Edelson says. ?They?re just trying to establish precedent.
They think they have a decent argument where they can force companies to change their business systems to help them.?

Hi all, i want to ask about my notebooks battery meter...
My notebooks battery meter/indicator doesnt increase / move up when it reaches 85%....
ÿIt happened yesterday, i wanted to charge the battery because the notification showed that the battery meter had reached 10%
then, i plugged in the AC adaptor...
after 2 hours(usually my battery will be fully charged in 2 hours although I open many heavy programs such as Windows media player, Mozzila, etc), i thought my laptops battery already fully charge / 100%..
but it wasnt
fully charged...
only 85%....
then I let it charged for a few hours again maybe it would be full....
but it didnt change significant...
only increased 1% into 86%
ÿI tried again on this morning, but Its same...
ÿPlease help me mr/mrs...! Because that notebook is very important for me..

Did you do any hardware/software changes on your laptop recently?
You may try the below 2 methods, one by one, and check if this helps.
Method 1:
a.ÿClick on Start button > All programs > Samsung > Battery Life Extender > Battery Life Extender.ÿ
b.ÿClick "yes" if prompted.
When the program launches you should have the option to go back and forth between 100 and 80% on your battery.
c.ÿSelect this option and check for the issue.
Method 2: You may also try these steps which has helped few in resolving such issues.
a.ÿTurn off your computer/laptop and let it cool down.
b.ÿUnplug the power supply and take the battery out for about 5min.
Clean its connections then put it back on your laptop to charge it again.
c.ÿTurn on the computer and see if it charges to 100%.

Make Sure that your Computer Meets the System Requirements
Microsoft Windows Requirements :
- 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

When you analyze the effects of fraud, viewability and ad blocking on the digital display advertising business, then add the ever-increasing abilities of the traffic launderers to game the system, you reach an inevitable conclusion: ad tech has evolved into a toxic ecosystem that is killing itself, and it is taking digital advertising with it.
How We Got Here
In the golden age of digital, Google SEO ruled the web. Back then, you wanted the best possible placement for your organic search results. This meant following Google?s rules for almost every aspect of your online architecture. That was then.
Today, clickbait and recommendation platforms rule the web. The consequences of this transition are unfortunate. Publishers are economically motivated to use any means to maximize page views. This has spawned a plague of traffic brokers who specialize in traffic laundering at an almost unbelievable scale. It has also caused publishers to devolve user interfaces into the emotionally unsatisfying experiences they are today, motivating users to deploy content blockers, motivating publishers to create countermeasures, elevating the arms race to the next level, resulting in a vortex that is sucking the entire industry into oblivion.
At its core, ad tech?s sorry state is a function of scale and misguided media procurement strategies. Publishers need more traffic than they can realistically generate because their ?real? traffic is undervalued or, some would say, indistinguishable from fraudulent traffic. If you need to take an order for 20 million impressions and you only have 2 million to sell, you will use a traffic broker to procure the additional 18 million impressions ? everyone is doing it, even if they think they aren?t. Fraud is out of control.
A regulatory revolt is on the horizon. Things are going to change, whether they change because of a government agency or civil lawsuits or simply an economic crackdown. Too much money is being wasted in too blatant a way for this fraudulent behavior to continue unchecked.
I don?t want to speculate as to the method of ad tech?s demise. If I had to guess, I would posit a reinvention of ad tech with regulatory oversight, rather than its total destruction. But instead of worrying about where traditional ad tech may end up, I?d like to explore a possible future for the evolution of consumer messaging via the Internet.
Business Outcomes Are Better than Impressions
How can small and midsized publishers compete with super-scaled mega-sites without resorting to traffic laundering? By turning the business model right-side up again.
No business wants to purchase a CPM or a GRP or an impression. Given a choice, most businesses would prefer to purchase a business outcome. You could argue that the system already does this. It does not. We have developed sophisticated proxies that are optimized to correlate to business outcomes, but we (the industry) sell impressions. What if we actually sold business outcomes?
I?m not talking about direct response advertising. It already exists, and it doesn?t work for brand advertising or nonimmediate calls to action such as upcoming sales events. I am suggesting that through the use of data scientific research and machine-learning tools, we are on the cusp of understanding how to generate leads that will result in acquired customers and directly drive business outcomes. The goal is not new, but awesome new tools are just becoming commercialized.
Relentless Retargeting
If you watch a video entitled ?Unboxing the Samsung Galaxy S7? four times, there?s a pretty good chance that you are in the market for a new smartphone. This is well understood. Current ad tech tools relentlessly retarget you to the point where you cannot visit another website for days without seeing display ads for an S7 or a competing brand that is willing to pay more money than Samsung to get in front of a person who is ?in market? for a new device. There is a better way.
There are new tools emerging that enable publishers to combine common measurements for content adjacency, context, and behavioral targeting with pattern-matching algorithms to rank users into ?in market? clusters (as opposed to targeting specific people). There are several programmatic creative tools capable of putting the right message in front of the clusters. The machine learning algorithms can continuously refine the clusters and, in many cases, can identify attributable paths to purchase. The result is the ability to guarantee a business outcome at a price. If publishers believe that advertising works, they can prove it by assuming some (or all) of the risk for a greater reward.
This may look like an iterative step up from bounties, and it may be. But the capabilities of the toolsets are increasing at an exponential rate.
Adtopia
Adtopia might look like this: platforms continue to sell targeted impressions (but would eventually offer business outcomes). Mega-sites get regulated into unprofitability. Quality publishers, realizing that they can never compete with platforms or mega-sites, evolve super-sophisticated data-driven business outcome capabilities and enjoy a renaissance where erudition (the filter set of choice) leads to guaranteed business outcomes for the highest-paying clients.
It won?t happen this way. There is no Adtopia, and ad tech will be with us in its current form until someone goes to jail. That said, things have got to change, and data science can lead the way.

In this method we will try to Boot in Safe mode with Networking and see if the error still persists.
- Search "MSCONFIG" and Open.
- Click on Boot Tab
- Tick Safe Boot in Boot Option
- Select Network.

- Reboot your System.
